I came here and ate alone, great place to people watch if you are a solo traveller. I checked their English menu online first to get an idea of options and they did not disappoint! The squid and crunchy cauliflower (in a vinaigrette) cold starter was delicious and the fish of the day (a kind of sea bream) was superb! I did not have room for dessert but will come back for the pavlova. The waitress spoke very good English and helped me make my choice as I was deliberating between so many options.

If you're in La Rochelle and want anything from a simple beer through to excellent food , this is the place .
The drink and cocktail list is first class the most original Spritzers I've seen .
For dinner I ordered the steak it arrived cooked exactly how I like it (rare) , on top of that it came with easily the best fries I've tasted in a long time . My partner had guinea fowl , absolutely delicious and melt in the mouth .
The wine list is excellent and not overpriced for this quality of restaurant .

We stopped off at this place for a drink and it was lovely. Great service, lovely location and excellent menu. We didn’t eat here, but the food looked great and plenty of locals in there, which is always a good sign.
We were lucky to stumble across this little gem on New Years Day. A bit of a wait for the food, but it was well worth it! Fish and chips with ice cream for the kids (€10), hake and cod for the parents. Beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and exquisite flavours. Lovely view of La Rochelle too. Would really recommend this place.

Awesome cocktails and food with fantastic atmosphere of a real french gourmand bistro. Highly visited by locals too which is a big credit.
